SIX STEPS TO HELP YOU MUDDLE THROUGH THE CLUTTER

ARE YOU TIRED OF LIVING IN A MESS?

ARE YOU UNORGANIZED? FRUSTRATED? CONFUSED?

Stop the roller coaster ride and get organized today! Here are six easy steps that we can all implement to make our lives and jobs easier.

1. Create a paperless desk......What a concept! Remove all of the loose papers and create folders for your projects. Create reference folders for information you are accessing on a regular basis. Make a reading file for articles, reports, and FYI documents, and keep a daily file for administrative, miscellaneous and day-to-day tasks.

The only thing that should be on your desk is the information about the project that you are working on. To avoid clutter, take a moment and file your paperwork before starting another project.

2. Out of sight...out of your mind. Remove any type of inbox from your desk. Keep it out of sight so that you don't become distracted or overcome with guilt.

3. Make your environment comfortable. Take the time to set up your computer, phone, chair and other vital tools properly. Make sure that everything is within easy reach and positioned for comfortable usage.

4. Create a special stationary drawer. Place all of your stationary items in drawers or a cabinet rather than your desk. The only thing that should ever be on your desk is the project you are currently working on.

5. Inspire yourself...you're worth it! Surround yourself with positive images. Keep a photo or phrase that motivates you towards your goals. It could be a holiday destination you want to visit, a photo of your family or a quote that inspires you.

6. Shut it down. Take ten minutes to clear your desk at the end of the day, everyday. Wash your coffee cup, empty your water bottle, put away pens and note pads and file paperwork, especially confidential information. Leave each day with a clean slate to start a new day tomorrow.

By taking a few, simple steps you will find yourself more organized, having more energy and feeling a lot more optimistic about the days ahead.

HERE COMES THE RAIN.......DROP TECHNIQUE THAT IS

In last months newsletter I discussed the Raindrop Technique and am happy to announce that appointments will be available on the third Wednesday of every month, starting October 17th at Rubia Spa and Salon in Brentwood.

Raindrop Technique is a combination of various aspects of conventional massage, adaptations of Oriental acupressure, reflexology, Native American healing techniques and aromatherapy. The purpose of Raindrop Technique is to stimulate every organ, muscle and bone at a cellular level, boost the immune system, bring the body back into structural and electrical balance, and enable the release of toxins.

 DO YOU HAVE "ANTS"?

You're sitting in a meeting. All of a sudden your heart begins to pound, you feel dizzy, your hands start to tingle and a wave of terror comes over you. You're certain that you're on the verge of fainting, having as heart attack - or at the very least, going crazy.

What just happened? Chances are you just had a panic attack. ANT's, also known as Automatic Negative Thoughts, are an inner dialogue that is looked at when someone presents with panic attacks.

What are you telling yourself that's making you feel that way?

Do you really want to stay upset?

Instead of saying "What if..." try saying "So what."

Instead of demanding perfection try saying "It's okay to make mistakes."

Learn how to counter negative self talk and take the next step in eliminating panic/anxiety attacks for good.

Mark you calendar for Tuesday, October 16th from 7:15 - 8:45. A free class will be given at the John Muir Outpatient Center in Brentwood by Shayn Cutino, CCht, HHP.
